# Set how one kind of record is numbered for this organisation.

> Set how one kind of record is numbered for this organisation. Every argument left null is left as it was, or takes our default on a first save. Records already numbered keep the numbers they have — a format decides what comes next and never what came before.

p_accepts_own_value chooses, on a series that offers the choice, between people typing a number
(one is given when they leave it empty) and the number always being given. Choosing the second lifts
any "must be answered" setting on that number, because nobody can type it.
