The same conversations as [messages](/work/messages) in the desktop app, read and sent from wherever you actually are — which, for the reason you'd message a planner at all, is usually somewhere they aren't. ## What that costs, said plainly Threads and their messages came down in the last sync and are read from the device — nothing here waits on a request. What you're reading is as new as your last sync, and what you send sits in the outbox until the phone finds a signal, the same as any other queued action. The screen says both things rather than pretending you have a live conversation. A message you send is replayed safely however many times the queue retries it, and can still be refused for one reason: you were removed from the conversation while the phone had no signal. That refusal lands on the **Sync** tab with your text still on the device, unsent rather than lost. ## Mentioning a job, an asset or a colleague The `#` and `@` pickers work here too, over the jobs, assets and colleagues this handset holds — a smaller list than the desktop's, and the only one available in a plant room. It's stated on screen rather than assumed. Conversations, mentions, and where they're reached from on the desktop.
