Asset clone

Create numbered copies of one asset or of a selection, with the parts, meters, plans, files and

custom field answers each one carries.

Through api.create_record, so the tenant’s rules, the approval gate and the reference checks all apply, and a copy starts in the state model’s initial state rather than in its source’s. The number, the serial, the tag and the custody are not copied: each of them is about one physical asset.

Each copy is a whole assembly: parent_asset_id descendants come too, re-pointed at the copy of their own parent, and numbered from the copy above them — P-102-M1 under P-103 is P-103-M1. What is currently fitted comes too, re-linked to the copy where this clone made one. One outcome row per asset created, because on a fleet of twenty some will be refused and “17 created” makes somebody find the other three by hand.
