Start a new workflow as a copy of an existing one, to change and then publish.
The copy carries the description, whether approvers are asked for a remark and a file, which roles it is for, and one version of the chain: its condition, every step and its settings, who signs each step, what each step asks to see, and how the steps connect. That is the version named, or the published one when none is named, or the newest draft when nothing has been published.
Left without an entity and action, the copy holds the same entity and action in the same way, and is asked straight after the workflow it was copied from, so while the original is live and the two have the same condition, every request still goes to the original.
Given another entity, action or way of holding it, the copy goes there instead, checked the way a new
workflow is, and is asked after the workflows already there. A condition naming a field requests
there do not carry is left out, so the copy starts with none; a field a step asks for that cannot be
asked the same way there is left off that step. workflow_copy_preview says beforehand which.
The copy is version 1, a draft, and turned off: publishing it turns it on. The original is not changed. The name defaults to the original’s with “(copy)” after it.
