Say what a plan covers: assets by name, by category, by asset type, or places.
Say what a plan covers: assets by name, by category, by asset type, or places.
A category or an asset type is the one that keeps working: an asset added to the class next month is covered without anybody remembering to add it. A category takes everything beneath it in the classification tree; an asset type takes every asset of that type whichever category it is filed under, for a service that belongs to the machine rather than to its duty. A place is for the round whose subject is the building — a statutory fire-door sweep or an emergency-lighting test has no asset to hang on.
