Choosing the period
From and to set the period, and 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and 12 months set it in one click. It starts at the last 30 days. The footer repeats the period being counted. The period and the level you are looking at are part of the page’s address, so the browser’s Back goes up one level, and you can bookmark a level or send it to a colleague who may open this screen. The four levels
A trail of names above the table — Everybody, then the person, the module and the kind of record — shows where you are. Click any of them to go back up. Click a row to go one level down.
Actions is the total of Created, Changed and Deleted. On the record type level,
Records says how many different records those actions touched, because forty changes to one order
and forty orders changed once are different weeks.
People
Everybody in the organisation is listed, including people who did nothing in the period. The stat strip counts the people and how many did nothing in this period. A person whose account has been removed is marked Removed, and one who is suspended or deactivated shows that status beside their name. Find a person narrows the list by name or email. One person
The stat strip shows the person’s actions and sign-ins in the period. The modules are the product’s own areas, so the level below a module is the kind of record that was changed, not the screen it was changed from. The changes
Every action, Created, Changed and Deleted narrow the list to one kind of action.
The list loads 100 changes at a time; Show 100 more loads the next, up to 1,000.
When a level has nothing to show, it says Nothing in this period, so an empty answer is not
mistaken for a list that failed to load.
Exporting
Export downloads the level you are looking at as a CSV file, with the same columns as the table. The changes level is exported one line per event, with the record’s id and its Number, and the parent record where there is one.Who can use this screen
The menu entry appears only for people who hold it. Only the System Administrator holds it until you
grant it to another role: reading the whole audit trail and watching what one colleague did are
different decisions, so Audit · view does not open this screen. Somebody without the permission
who opens the address is told that what each person did is for an administrator to read.
See the permission reference.
