Local, and honestly narrower for it
Everything here came down in the last sync and is searched on the device — no request, no spinner waiting on a network that isn’t there. The search itself is a plain substring match rather than the knowledge base’s ranked search, which is the honest trade: a client can’t reproduce server-side ranking, and filtering the guides this handset already holds by what you typed gets you most of the way there for a fraction of the cost. Where you have signal, the full search is a tap away in the web app. A guide leads with its safety note here just as it does on the desktop — read by somebody standing at the asset with a spanner, which is the stronger reason for it to come first.Knowledge base
